App privacy policy

  1. The processing of personal data is subject to the terms of the VisasIespējas Privacy Policy
  2. Additionally to the processing of data as set out in the Visasiespējas Privacy Policy and its purposes, the following mobile device data is processed to ensure the operation of the App:
    1. technical details of the device (including the phone's IMEI number, model, operating system) for the operation of the App;
    2. location data (if the Data Subject consents) for the purpose of offering a location-specific service or notification on the App;
    3. processing is necessary to spot and fix errors and deficiencies, to ensure and improve the user experience, and to make sure that the App works as intended. This processing is supported by infrastructure and data hosting services provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS offers various managed services for database storage, media storage, backend hosting, and system monitoring, which may process personal data on behalf of the App. AWS data centers may be located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. In such cases, AWS ensures an adequate level of data protection by applying the European Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and participating in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF).     4. the App uses Facebook Login and Google Sign-In to provide convenient authentication and login functionality. Only the necessary data for user identification and access management is processed. Facebook and Google may process data outside the European Union. These companies also apply SCCs and participate in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. More information is available in their respective privacy policies;
    5. technical data of the mobile device, the Data Subject’s account information, the notification settings selected by the Data Subject, email address, language settings and the Data subject’s actions on the App. Based on this information, the Data Subject may be provided with personalized App notifications (if the Data Subject has consented to receive such notifications). 
  3. The App stores and protects all Data Subject’s personal data with a secure device password encryption system (keychain on iOS, user preferences on Android). Data processing and transmission from the App to our server is protected using Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol.
